Zoe, age 10, is obsessed with making horror films. A deadline for a horror contest is coming up, and Zoe is determined to win. But when her father, concerned about her increasingly gory activities, orders her to stop making horror films and shoot her sister's wedding week instead, Zoe has no other choice …. To win the contest of her dreams, Zoe will have to turn her sister's wedding into a horror film.
This is a heartwarming and quirky comedy that explores family and the importance of accepting one another for who we really are. The film was shot in Portland, Oregon.
The screenplay was a quarterfinalist in Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Screenwriting Contest.
The film completed its festival run in 2019, winning awards including Best Picture and Best Comedy at the Oregon Independent Film Festival, and the Audience Choice Award for Best Film at the Seattle Local Sightings Film Festival. We were delighted to receive a distribution deal from Indican Pictures.
